After a photo shooting in the country, while I was watching the photos I took, I noticed that in a lot of them there were butterflies. Intrigued, I started searching online for something about them, and I realised that there are numerous initiatives that involve butterflies.
Here in Italy the most known project is the one created by Friends of the Earth (here), they also started a world wide census. All you have to do is go out and take the best photos you can of the butterflies you see, than send the photos to them with your name and location.
As they say on their website, the butterflies and moths’ population is deeply endangered, so it’s crucial give them the help they need.

Dopo una sessione fotografica in campagna, mentre stavo riguardando le immagini che avevo scattato, mi sono reso conto che la maggior parte ritraevano farfalle. Incuriosito, ho iniziato a cercare online se ci fosse qualche iniziativa o qualcosa di simile che le riguardassero; sono quindi venuto a conoscenza che ci sono numerose iniziative in favore delle farfalle.
Qui in Italia il progetto più conosciuto è stato creato da Friends of the Earth (qui), che hanno anche lanciato un censimento internazionale di farfalle e falene. Tutto quello che bisogna fare è uscire, scattare le migliori foto possibili delle farfalle che si incontrano e poi inviarle a Friends of the Earth con il proprio nome e località.
Come riportano sul loro sito, la popolazione di farfalle e falene è ad alto rischio, quindi è fondamentale dare loro tutto l’aiuto possibile.
